Grading Policy
At Gardner Elementary it is our goal to make everything we do, including homework, meaningful for the students. We work to ensure
that real learning is taking place in the classroom and want our students to feel confident the work they do will help prepare them for future learning experiences. Our goal is to assign homework that has purpose, is efficient, allows for student choice, and is enjoyable. You may see some changes in the type and quantity of assignments brought home this school year as we work to make your child’s educational experience at Gardner the best it can be.
Grades will reflect student ability and effort.
Remember that while it is important to value grades, they are merely a snapshot in time and not a sign of worth.
All students are valuable and have GREAT talents!
Grading Scale
A = 100% - 90%
B = 89% - 80%
